Trouble Part

 

Mandatory

Number that identifies the part which caused the failure. Different trouble part numbers can be used for multiple repair claims.

Ex.: Repair 1 trouble part 290941903 Screw Hex.

Repair 2 trouble part 269500613 Hinge.

System Code

System code, corresponding to the product & model combination for the unit currently entered in Serial No. field.

Mandatory

If the value is typed in, its description will not appear. The description will be displayed only when the claim is verified or submitted.

Different system codes can be used for multiple repair claims.

Ex.: Repair 1 System Code 01 Engine

Job Number

Job Number, corresponding to the Product, Model & System Code currently entered/selected.

Mandatory

Depending on the Product that is currently selected in the Serial No. field the lookup () may or may not display numbers proceeded by an asterisk (*).

Ex. :For System Code 02, the Job Code 01 for landcraft   is Air Silencer Assembly

For watercraft the Job Code *01 is Air Silencer Removal/Installation.

Note: The job number corresponds to a prefixed amount of labor that will be entered automatically on the claim. Please refer to the Flat Rate Manuals for corresponding amount of labor.

Trouble Code

 

Mandatory

A code that briefly describes what the cause of the failure is.

The line under the trouble part displays its description once the claim is verified or submitted. If the part number entered is invalid then an error message is displayed.

Quantity used for this particular part number to perform the repair. Note: if information is entered in the old serial no. and new serial no. fields, then the quantity must be one.

Entering a duplicate part number is not allowed within the same repair number for a given claim.

When required, Serial number of the defective part. Required for engine assembly (not short block) and snowmobile tracks.
